Human Resources

The goal of this division is to attract and retain highly qualified City workforce. This division is responsible for recruitment, training, compensation and workers compensation administration. This division is also responsible for administering various agreements between the City and its employee associations. The City provides an excellent work environment, competitive pay and benefits. Annually, Human Resources conducts approximately 25 recruitments for full and part-time positions, reviews more than 1500 applications, and processes between 200 and 350 Personnel Action Forms. Human Resources also manages employee training and development programs; administers the City's position classification, compensation, and benefits system; oversees equal employment opportunity and affirmative action programs; ensures compliance with Federal and State mandates; and administers the workers' compensation, and health insurance plans.
